About period close. b1 enforces period lock via GL_FIN_YEAR.YEAR_STATUS. When a period is marked Closed in b1, b2 will refuse to post or un-post any voucher dated within that range (HTTP 423 Locked). Hard-close itself remains a b1 finance-team action for now; this screen surfaces the data needed to make that call confidently.
